Under Georgia law, if a case has not been indicted within 90 days, a person who has been incarcerated without bond becomes eligible for bond.

To make sure that doesn't happen, Brooks plans to hold a special session of the grand jury to seek indictments next Friday. The grand jury was not scheduled to meet before the 90-day period ended, however, the AJC reported.
