Austell Bank, Hair Business Robbed

Surveillance images show the suspect in one of the robberies.

Cobb police are trying to find the suspects in two weekend armed robberies in Austell.

The first one occurred about 11 p.m. Friday at 320 Six Flags Dr. Two men in dark clothing, possibly hooded sweatshirts and gloves, entered Cyndy’s Hair Braiding with chrome semi-automatic handguns and demanded money, Officer Mike Bowman said.

The second robbery occurred just before 9 a.m. Saturday at the Regions bank on Mulkey Road.

"According to investigators," Bowman said, "the employee was getting ready to enter the locked lobby of the Regions bank when the perpetrator approached."

Armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, the man demanded money. Bank surveillance images show him in a Titleist baseball cap, a light blue, long sleeved, button-down shirt and dark pants.
