Armed Man Robs Family Dollar on Six Flags Drive

Suspect fled with cash in an out-of-state vehicle.

The Cobb County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday night at the Family Dollar Store, 401 Six Flags Drive, Austell.

According to police, a man entered the store and approached two employees with an item he was going to allegedly purchase. Instead, he showed a handgun to them and demanded money. The suspect then fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash in a small maroon or burnt orange crossover-style SUV with an out-of-state tag. 

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’05” to 5’06” tall, 175 pounds. He was clean shaven and between 20 to 25 years of age. He was wearing a red shirt, a red hooded sweat shirt, a red baseball cap and dark colored jeans. He also had on black-and-white “Puma” sneakers.
