5 More South Cobb Businesses Burglarized Friday

A group of individuals burglarized five more businesses on Friday, after doing the same to two Floyd Road businesses on Tuesday.

In addition to two burglaries of businesses in a shopping center on Floyd Road, five more South Cobb businesses were burglarized on Friday around 2:30 a.m., Cobb police report.

Lt. Carole King of South Cobb's Precinct 2 said the burglaries seem to be related.

Each of the burglaries occurred around the same time, and each of them happened in the same manner by shattering the glass front doors of the businesses.

The burglars took several items, including the businesses' cash registers.

Three of the burglarized businesses were ethnic food restaurants and a Hispanic church and the others were a liquor store and a food mart, King said. They were Star East Chinese Restaurant, Top Shelf Liquors, Broadway Tropical Foods, Mexico Lindo, Carnicera la Mexicana, Plaza Liquor Package Store, La Pasadita Taqueria and Inglesia Profetica Ciudad Church.
