2 South Cobb Businesses Robbed

A Mableton Metro PCS and an Austell Waffle House were robbed Wednesday night within a span of nearly five hours.

The Cobb County Police Department is looking for the suspects who robbed two South Cobb businesses Wednesday night.

Just after 7 p.m., a man went inside the Metro PCS store at 5345 Floyd Rd. with a revolver and demanded money, said Officer Mike Bowman, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department.

When the suspect got the money, he fled the business on foot and headed toward Fontaine Road.

The second robbery occurred around 11:45 p.m. when two men, one of them armed with a rifle, entered the Austell Waffle House through an unsecured back door wearing black pants and black hoodies, Bowman said.

The men left the Waffle House at 7350 Six Flags Dr. in an unknown direction after they got an undisclosed amount of cash.
