Robert Howard Heard, 93, Dies
Retired Georgia State University carpenter formerly lived in Austell.
Robert Howard Heard, 93, of Marietta, formerly of Austell, died Friday, Oct. 4, at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell.
Mr. Heard retired from Georgia State University where he worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Ferguson Heard of Marietta; son, Joseph Howard Heard of Franklin, NC; daughter, Vonnie Marie Heard of Marietta; brothers, Jack Heard of Morrow, Harold Heard of Conyers, and Harry Heard of Conyers; and sister, Sarah Stallings of Whitesburg.
The family received friends 4-6 pm Sunday, Oct. 6, at White Columns Chapel in Mableton. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday, Oct. 7, in the funeral home's chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton.
