Obituary: Evelyn Trammell, 88, Mableton

Trammell is remembered as independent with a sense of humor.

Evelyn Goswick Trammell, 88, of Mableton passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, at Autumn Breeze Nursing Home in Marietta. 

Evelyn was born to James and Rose Goswick by a midwife in Texas on July 2, 1925. After being baptized at her local church in Alabama, she traveled to Georgia. 

She was a very independent woman who had a sense of humor. She also enjoyed her flowers in her garden. 

Evelyn had worked as a nursing assistant for Brian Health Center as well as a homemaker raising her four beautiful children. 

Evelyn Goswick Trammell is widowed by her husband, William Bradford Trammell. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann and her husband Rodney Pulansky of Mableton and Brenda Conquest of Louisiana; sons, Gene Trammell and his wife Deborah of Dallas and Timmy Trammell of Marietta; brothers, Joe Goswick of Cedartown, Luther "Duke" Goswick and his wife Nancy of Dallas, and James Goswick and his wife Minnie of Austell; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from noon until service time at 2 p.m. on Saturday at White Columns Chapel. Cremation will follow.
