Lawrence Jacob Walker Jr., age 66 of Austell, passed away Sept. 20. He moved to Austell from New Orleans in 2005 and was retired as a longshoreman. He loved playing softball and was a fan of all sports. He was also a member of The Avenue Steppers, Second Line Club in New Orleans.
He is survived by his children, Kenneth (& Lisa) Walker of New Orleans, Donna (& David) Walker Buggage of New Orleans, Toya Walker Harvey of Austell, Lawrence Walker III of New Orleans; stepdaughter Tia Walker of Austell; sister, Lydia Walker of New Orleans; five grandchildren; two nephews; beloved friends, Gilda Walker, Mercedes Walker Williams and Gail Walker and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held at on Sept. 24. Interment followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
