Monica DeLancy State Representative District 39

Monica DeLancy is seeking the office of State Representative District 39. Monica is an active member of the Austell and Mableton Community. She serves as the Community Liaison for Austell Community Taskforce, a member of Riverside Intermediate and Primary School Council and Lindley 6th grade and Lindley Middle School Councils. As the Resident coordinator of Kingsley Village Apartments on Six Flags drive , she has revamped the resident association and each year  the group sponsors a National Night Out Against crime event in August. In addition she facilitates the Six Flags Drive business and apartment managers meeting to update the group on public safety and community initiaitives.  Monica has also served as the community liaison consultant with the office of State Representative Alisha T. Morgan, communicating the vision of the Six Flags Drive community and school related issues. 

Prior to residing in Georgia, Monica was teacher in the charter school system in the state of Texas.
Monica work in the community has not gone unnoticed she was honored at the South Cobb Business Association with the Good Citizenship award, The Austell Boy Scout Troop Community Service award and most recently has been nominated for the Cobb County Creating Community Award. Monica has a passion for youth and education. and once elected will continue to advocate for the South Cobb community. This is Monica second time running for public office. In 2012 she ran as a democrat in a crowded field of 6 for Cobb Commissioner District 4. Monica is a proud parent of two chlidren Brianne 13 and Ernest 11.
