Six Flags Drive.....We Can't Wait

Six Flags Drive area located in Austell Georgia, experienced two murders in one day on Monday September 16th, 2013. On Monday Morning, Riverside Townhowns located in Austell Georgia, by Word Of Faith Church, was the scene of a young man being murdered in his home. This was the second time in less than two years that Riverside Townhomes was the location of an African American man in his 20's being murdered. On Monday night a woman who was a grandmother of 3 was shot and killed in Oakhill Townhomes. Community.  In the past two years there was shooting and Killing in the Marathon Plaza. The police department and neighborhood groups, Austell Community Taskforce, We Thrive On the drive, along with Commissioner Cupid,State Rep Alisha T. Morgan, and Six Flags Business owners, have been working hard to promote a positive image for the Six Flags Drive area. The area located between Factory Shoals and Word of Faith Church,have 8 apartment rental communities and two townhome communities which are individual owned. The children who live in the area attend Riverside Primary, Riverside Intermediate, Lindley Sixth Grade Academy, Lindley Middle School, and Pebblebrook High School. The time is now to stop meeting and talking about what we should do, and start doing it.  If we are serious about our community, every time there is a meeting, event, workshop, activity, rally or something positive in the area, should be attended by every soul who is trully committed about the cause. Our kids deserve better. We can't wait!!!!!
