Vote, Vote Regularly, Tell Others to do the Same!

Lisa Cupid, Cobb Commission Candidate, encourages voters to get out to the polls to avoid getting passed by.

It is election season again. You may be able to tell by the number of yard signs popping up around your neighborhood. But is anyone popping in?

Are those seeking your vote coming out to your communities?

Chances are they may not be if your community does not consist of several active voters.

Campaigns tend to concentrate their efforts among people who make sure they get out to the polls and not only vote, but vote consistently.

Unfortunately low turnout numbers among the 90,000 voters of District 4 in Cobb County could be a factor in why so many persons seeking office in county and state positions don’t come out to our events and our neighborhoods.

So how do we change this?

First: Vote!

Make sure you count at election time.

Second: Vote every opportunity you can.

When you skip elections, yes even those March and July elections, you appear less and less like an active voter. Believe it or not there are organizations tracking when each registered voter votes!

Third: Encourage your neighbor, your friends, and your community to vote. Send an email, put a post on Facebook…blog it on Patch!

In activating others to vote you not only help them, but your entire community.

All of our communities in Cobb deserve attention, but to get it around election time, we must actively vote!

So again, don’t forget to:

  1. Vote
  2. Vote regularly.
  3. Encourage others to do the same.

Your community is depending on you!

Lisa Cupid is running for Cobb County Commissioner of District 4 and asks for your support in the July 31 elections to make sure that: 1. The people of Cobb are better engaged and put first; 2. Our tax dollars are invested in Southwest Cobb as well as they are in other parts of the county; 3. Business and entrepreneurship are recognized and well supported through policies and economic incentives, and  4.Communities are safe, walkable, and complete with amenities to create a desirable place to live, work, and enjoy.
