Conference speaker announcement

The Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (Peach State LSAMP) will host its 7th Annual Fall National Symposium and Research Conference on October 4-6, 2012 at the University of Georgia.

Lawrence P King, Vice President Deblar & Associates, Austell Georgia has been invited to serve on a panel of entrepreneurs sharing career choices and development.  King’s panel will convene Friday, October 5th at 4PM at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center, Athens Georgia.

The Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (Peach State LSAMP) is a collaborative effort sustained by a coalition of seven colleges and universities in Georgia to significantly increase the number of underrepresented minority students statewide who complete undergraduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

In an effort to meet the needs and expectations of the underrepresented minorities in STEM, Peach State LSAMP provides services such as academic enrichment, financial support, peer and faculty mentoring, research opportunities, and summer bridge programs.

This year's conference theme is STEMulate Your Mind. Sessions will be available for both professional development and enhancement, featuring concurrent oral and poster presentations from undergraduate and graduate student research.
