ESPLOST Career Academy

support for ESPOLST

Cobb school system cannot provide work ready graduates that choose not to enter college unless ESLOST is supported by voters who need a Career Academy the most.

Voters from Smyrna, Austell, Mabelton, and unincorporated areas South Cobb have the most to gain and the most to lose depending on the vote outcome on March 19th. It appears clear that the CCSD financial situation as projected will not permit the system to invest in the upgrades and new education resources for teachers necessary to continue adequately serving its 117,000 students.

Giving the system a yes vote, gives South Cobb the leverage to press the case with the Board for beginning to end the neglect that has historically been a descriptive of South Cobb. Residents in other parts of Cobb already with the better resources, have the luxury of taking opposing stands based on politics and principles.

South Cobb residents need to put children first and support ESPLOST. With a low turnout expected, a heavy supporting vote from South Cobb can make all the difference.
