Enjoying the Best Views of the City

One of the things I love about south Cobb is the view of downtown. The skyline views we enjoy may just be one of the best kept secrets of our neck of the woods!

One of the things I love about south Cobb is the view of downtown. Although some of us locals have boasted about it and even Yelp reviewed it, the skyline views we enjoy may just be one of the best kept secrets of our neck of the woods!

I was considering this when I recently visited a new custom built home in The Cottages of Lois Point. The house itself is fantastic. But the views are what are really priceless! The Master suite’s private balcony reminds me of being in a tree house. On a clear summer day like we’ve been enjoying lately, the tops of the trees across the street stretch out in a welcoming shade of green towards a blue horizon and then, there it is. The Skyline. At night it’s even more incredible!

The house is nestled in a small enclave of custom homes on the crest of a hill perched between South Cobb Drive and South Atlanta Road. West Village and the Silver Comet Trail are a short walk away. The commute into the city is also very easy. The marvelous thing about the home’s location, though, is that you might not ever know it was there if you weren’t looking for it. It’s right in the middle of everything and yet it is quiet and private, with plenty of trees and residential areas buffering it.

Designed by Michael Landry, it’s a four bedroom, three and a half bath home with a three car garage and a basement. It’s a very well-appointed home with high-end appliances and a large master suite with a fireplace in the sitting area. The custom part is in the details—blue stone fireplace, custom tongue and groove ceilings, brushed nickel spindles on the staircase, and tons of built-ins. It’s really a spectacular home. Its mix of casual elegance and modern sophistication are perfect for entertaining, while private spaces like the side courtyard make it a great family retreat as well.
