Miss Cobb County Gets Royal Sendoff

Tuesday night's event in Marietta was a preliminary for the Miss Georgia Pageant.

The reigning Miss Cobb County Stephanie Burkholder and three other young ladies are off to Columbus to compete for the right to continue onto Las Vegas and even greater awards.

Tuesday night, the four talented and attractive representatives of your county had a chance to demonstrate what they would share on the stage in Columbus this weekend and next week.

About 100 well-wishers crowded into the lobby of Jennie T. Anderson Theatre and signed cards, gave gifts and cheered them on as they were presented on stage,  as they will appear before The Miss Georgia judges.

The photo has all of the Cobb County winners, including some little contestants, who hope one day to represent you in a future Miss Georgia and even the Miss America Contest.

Please encourage residents to attend CCt flex bus meeting at the South Cobb Library on Tuesday JuneRead More 18t 6pm-8pm. The first meeting only had 11 residents there and none were bus riders. I have encouraged residents that have teens to attend meeting because this help our teens get to jobs or social activities and not just hang out in the neighborhood. We must also plan for the future and underswtrand that just because you are driving today, it may not be the case all the time. Your situation can change with a blink of an eye.
