Cobb Candidates Forum at Life Changers Church

Cozy little, very close knit, folk who attend Life Changers Church made Candidates welcome and fed them too.

I am returning from double duty tonight, but wanted to make sure we got this one to bed. Had to report, photograph and stand in for a candidate.

The co-pastors and some of the congregation at LifeChangers Church on Powder Springs Road just past the Macland Road cutoff made it a wonderful evening.

The time was 6:30 and the program began on time. Each candidate was given four minutes to share themselves with the group of about 60 people. There was no debating but each person explained why they were the best choice to fill the particular position they were seeking.

Those in attendance were: Vic Reynolds,Van Parlberg, Greg Poole, Nathan Wade, Justin O'Dell, Diana Eckles, Larry Burke, Joyette Holmes, Marsha Lake, Dr. Bobby Allen, Karyn Harrison ,David Morgan, Dr.Rhett, Connie Taylor, Monica Delancy, Lisa Cupid, Ruth Negron, Mike Boyce and a stand-in for Rebecca Keaton and yours truly for Woody Thompson.

The meeting was well run and kept on time except for three folk who did go over despite the big clock in the back that said  "TIMES UP" and then showed the overage. The food and drinks were wonderful and light consisting of fresh fruit, selections of cheeses, vegetables and dips.

A big tip of the political hats for the co-pastors and team that pulled the session together and got all those folk out on a rainy Georgia evening.

Please encourage residents to attend CCt flex bus meeting at the South Cobb Library on Tuesday JuneRead More 18t 6pm-8pm. The first meeting only had 11 residents there and none were bus riders. I have encouraged residents that have teens to attend meeting because this help our teens get to jobs or social activities and not just hang out in the neighborhood. We must also plan for the future and underswtrand that just because you are driving today, it may not be the case all the time. Your situation can change with a blink of an eye.
