Spreading the Holiday Cheer: Ways to Save on Holiday Cards

Ways to save on Holiday cards this season along with a couple giveaways!

As a mom the holiday season means tons of events, family, fun, shopping, and of course money! With three kids I try to save every way I can while still being able to send holiday cards to our friends and family. Here are some of my favorite ways to save:

Β

  • Buy Ahead: As I was decorating my house this year I was wishing I had more Christmas decorations. However I will not be shopping for decorations during the season, but come December 26th you will find me at Target getting some great after Christmas deals. If you like to send the paper cards this is the perfect time to stock up. I buy mine then store them with my holiday wrapping paper so I will find it next year.
  • Design Your Own: I love photo cards and think I am pretty creative so this was the option for me. I used a digital scrapbooking program and designed my cards on my computer. I then searched the on line photo sites for the best deal on 5x7 prints and ordered them. You can see my cards HERE and even enter to win the program I used to design them.
  • Check Out Warehouse Stores: Stores are always offering great deals on cards even during the holiday season. I was at BJ's today and saw some gorgeous handmade cards for super cheap.
  • Shop the Sales: Think of it as the Black Friday of cards. Any and every on line printing website is offering great deals on cards. Most years you can find cards for FREE. This year there have also been some great Groupon and Living Social deals for photo services that would be perfect to use for cards.
  • Smart E Card: While this may not be the cheapest option it is definitely one to consider. You can make a slide show over your year complete with pictures, captions, and music and send to your family. These cards cost $1.00 each however 80% of that goes to the charity of you choice and it is a very Eco friendly option. Plus you won't have to buy stamps or lick all of those envelopes! You can go HERE and enter to win 25 Smart E Cards for yourself!

Where did you get your cards this year?
