Cobb County Republican Independence Day Celebration and Barbecue Returns to Jim Miller Park on July 4th

The Cobb County Republican Independence Day Celebration and Barbecue will take place from 11:30 am until 3 pm on Friday, July 4th.

The venue is Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road SW, Marietta

(Rain or shine - our Celebration/Barbecue is always indoors with air conditioning. Regardless of the weather forecast, the event is still on.)

Elected officials and candidates for the 2014 elections will attend.  Williamson Brothers Bar-B-Q will provide delicious barbecue pork and chicken, along with hot dogs, baked beans, slaw and all the fixins.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture and singer, Gary Black;  The Bill Atkins band, with Radio Hall of Famer and Country Music DJ Hall of Famer Rhubarb Jones on the drums;  and musician and state legislator-elect Bert Reeves.

This year, we are going all out to make it a fun event for the entire family.  Bring your children to enjoy the Space Walk, face painting, coloring contests and lots of fun stuff.

Prepaid admission - available through July 2nd - is $10 for adults (ages 12 and up) and $5 for children (ages 5 to 11).  Children 4 and under are admitted free.
