Carla Sanchez was born into a family of artists, but was discouraged from following that path. It wasn’t until 2004 that she could allow art to come to the forefront in her life. Carla has not stopped drawing and painting since. In 2006, Carla began painting with David Leffel and drawing with Sherri McGraw both of whom are known internationally as Modern Masters in their respective fields. Carla’s greatest inspiration besides Rembrandt and David Leffel has been her late grandfather, who was a well known local artist in the Hamptons. Sadly he died three months before she was born but she receives her inspiration from the works he left behind. Carla’s style tends toward Classical realism and she is heavily influenced by Rembrandt’s chiaroscuro style. She believes there is Classical beauty in everything; this she endeavors to portray in her works.

This will be the LAST CHANCE  to study under Carla before she moves to Texas
