South Cobb Business Professionals 'J.A.M.' at Event

The 2013 Summer J.A.M. (Joint Association Meeting) attracted about 1,000 business professionals from around Cobb County.

About 1,000 business professionals took part in a night of networking, entertainment, food and giveaways Wednesday.

The 2013 Summer J.A.M. (Joint Association Meeting), put on by the Coalition of Cobb County Business Associations and the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, brought together the Chamber and the county's 10 business associations under the roof of the Cobb Civic Center in Marietta.

In addition to the South Cobb Business Association and Austell Business Association, participating organizations included Smyrna Business Association, Vinings Business Association, West Cobb Business Association, Acworth Business Association, East Cobb Business Association, Kennesaw Business Association, Marietta Business Association and Northeast Cobb Business Association.

By the night's end, organizers said the event, now in its third year, had about 950 people pre-register plus an unknown number of walk-in attendees; last year's event drew about 800.
