Natura Pet Food Issues Recall

Its dry pet food may be contaminated with salmonella.

Natura Pet Products has voluntarily recalled some of its dry pet food because it may be contaminated with salmonella.

Popular brands include Innova, Evo, California Natural and Mother Nature.

According to the Food & Drug Administration, specific products recalled are:

  • Innova Dry dog and cat food and biscuits/bars/treats
  • EVO dry dog, cat and ferret food and biscuits/bars/treats
  • California Natural dry dog and cat foods and biscuits/bars/treats
  • Healthwise dry dog and cat foods
  • Karma dry dog foods
  • Mother Nature biscuits/bars/treats

The recall includes all lot codes, UPCs, package sizes and expiration dates before June 10, 2014. The items are sold through vet clinics, select pet stores and online. No canned food is affected.
