The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is seeking to fill a part-time position for Office Manager.

Job Description: This position will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the JLCM and supporting the JLCM Board of Directors and members as they carry out the mission and strategic plan.  Additionally, the Office Manager is responsible for overall office and administrative support including but not limited to maintaining financial records, fielding telephone calls, word processing, scheduling internal meetings, maintaining the JLCM calendar and helping prepare the Form 990 and other annual reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain financial records in QuickBooks.  Duties include general bookkeeping, A/P, A/R, monthly bank reconciliations, invoicing, budgeting, entering sales receipts, preparing 1099s, preparing quarterly sales tax reports, and assisting with yearly audit/review and tax Form 990
  • Maintain database of contacts, membership and website used to provide membership reports to the Board
  • Implement Board policies and decisions and proactively assist President and the Board, at their sole discretion, with completing League functions and ensuring smooth operations
  • Schedule, supervise and train office volunteers in office operations
  • Prepare training manuals and maintain office records
  • Provide administrative support to fundraiser chairs and treasurers for fundraising events
  • Prepare annual dues statements for membership; collect and input dues into QuickBooks
  • Collect and distribute all correspondence for the organization
  • Maintain the organization’s calendar
  • Attend various League events and all Board meetings.  Please note Board meetings occur once per month in the evening.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (2007), QuickBooks and Access
• Familiarity with and competence in data entry/database management
• Customer service experience
• Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic accounting or financial background a plus
• Knowledge and experience with nonprofits and Form 990
• Enthusiasm for community service and volunteer work in the community
