HomeGoods Opens in Austell on Thursday

South Cobb residents are more than excited for a new place to get chic, affordable home accents and furniture.

First it was B.J.’s, then A.J. Wright and, most recently, Borders that closed their doors for good in Austell along the East-West Connector.

However, on Thursday, Austell residents will have a new place to shop for home furniture and accents, and they are more than ready to get inside and rack up on deals.

In fact, store employees turned away eager customers several times this weekend while they were training and preparing for Thursday’s grand opening in the space at 4155 Austell Road left vacant by A.J. Wright, which closed in February.

The furniture and home accents discount store is owned by The TJX Companies, Inc., which owns T.J. Maxx, Marshall’s and A.J. Wright.

The Austell store is one of three HomeGoods stores opening in the Metro Atlanta area on Thursday.
