Cobb Under Tornado, Flood Watch

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Cobb County.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City issued a tornado watch for Cobb County and Metro Atlanta this morning. The watch remains in effect until 1 p.m.

At 11:07 a.m., NWS issued a flash flood watch for North and Central Georgia, including Cobb County. The flash flood watch remains in effect until 7 p.m.

According to NWS, one to three inches of rainfall has fallen over parts of the Metro Atlanta area, and another line of showers and thunderstorms is expected with a possible additional of one to three inches of rain.

Remain cautious while driving. Heavy rainfalls cause rapid rises and flooding of and minor creeks and streams. Roadways may become covered with flowing water.
