North Georgia State Fair

As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the North Georgia State Fair attracts nearly 300,000 people every year from North Georgia and neighboring states.  The Fair features live music, free attractions and shows, farm animals, flower shows, blue ribbon competitions, local entertainment, and delicious fair foods.  There are also games and rides on the Great James H. Drew Exposition midway, one of the largest carnival midways in the United States.

Free Concerts: Colt Ford on Friday, September 23; Josh Kelley on Saturday, September 24; Chris Young on Wednesday, September 28; The Band Perry on Thursday, September 29; Big Daddy Weave on Friday, September 30; Mark Wills on Saturday, October 1.

All concerts begin at 8:00pm.  Concerts FREE with fair admission.

New for 2011: Kachunga and the Alligator Show, Hypnotist Tammy Harris Barton and Keith King Bike Stunt Show. 

Back again this year: K-9’s in Flight, Oscar the Robot, Brian Ruth the Master of the Chainsaw, Wit Carson’s Petting Zoo and Pony Rides, and the Cobb EMC Local Entertainment Stage.

Admission: $5.00 adults, $2.00 students ages 7-18, free for children 6 and under. Ride tickets are $1.00 each, $20.00 for 22 tickets and $50.00 for 55 tickets.

Parking is $3.           

Discount Tickets: Fair tickets will be available at all Metro Atlanta Walgreen’s beginning August 22 – September 23. Adults $2.50, Students $1.25, 22 Ride Tickets $11.00.

Unlimited Rides:  $15.00 Pay-One-Price Ride Special - on Monday, 9/26.  $18.00 Pay-One-Price Ride Specials - on Thursday (opening day), 9/22; Tuesday, 9/27 & Wednesday, 9/28. NEW! - $25.00 Pay-One-Price Ride Special - on Saturday, 9/24 and 10/1 from 11:00am to 3:00pm (good til close).
