Weekend Planner: Easter Egg Hunts, Museum Family Day

Kick off the Easter holiday with two Easter egg hunts in Cobb County.

Come out to on Saturday for an . The Preschool-2nd grade egg hunt starts at 10:00 a.m., and the 3rd-5th grade egg hunt starts at 11:00 a.m. All activities will take place at the high school's stadium.

also will be held on Saturday. The event at Jim Miller Park on Callaway Road from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It will feature children’s art activities, live entertainment, inflatables, concessions and, of course, an egg hunt.  The Easter Bunny will be on hand to delight the children and there will be contests, including the Mad Hatter Contest and Decorated Basket Contest. There will also be a musical performance by the Theater Project.

Catch Young Frankenstein at the Cobb Energy Centre through Sunday. Based on the Oscar-nominated smash hit 1974 film, the musical production Young Frankenstein is the wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Mary Shelley classic from the comic genius of Mel Brooks. Showtimes are 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased here.

Sunday is First Sunday Family Day at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art. Admission is free from 1-4 p.m., and family activities are planned.
