We Want Your Two Cents! Blog for South Cobb Patch!

South Cobb Patch is looking for a few good bloggers.

As always, we want to hear from you!

South Cobb Patch will debut a corps of bloggers on May 4, and we're inviting local writers to join us.

Be interesting. Be provocative. Be yourself.

We're seeking five to 10 bloggers who reflect the culture and community that make Buckhead special. The bloggers will get to share their background, expertise and personality with our readers, whether they're a chef, school teacher or politician.

Patch is more than a news site, it's an online conversation about your community.

  • Are you passionate about South Cobb core issues?
  • Are you an expert craftsman or hobbyist who can share do-it-yourself tips?
  • Do you have strong opinions about local government?
  • Can you just make us all laugh?
  • Can you write compellingly?

There's no pay, but Patch won't own what you post, so you can repost your entries to your other blogs. Much like The Huffington Post has done, Patch is providing local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience. In fact, some of your posts could land on HuffPo, which would put them in front of a huge audience.

We want to hear from you. My role as editor will be to review blog entries to ensure quality. This isn't a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want to say, when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per day or a couple times a month.

If you'd like to chat about the opportunity to share your unique voice with our readers, let me know by emailing Kiri.Walton@patch.com.
