Tornado Warning Has Been Issued For South Cobb

South Cobb is under a tornado warning, tornado watch, wind advisory and what the National Weather Service calls a "Hazardous Weather Outlook."

South Cobb is currently under a tornado watch. Residents are asked to take cover, stay inside and stay away from windows.

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, the tornado watch is in effect until 8 p.m. for 36 Georgia counties, including Cobb County.

Residents should expect strong winds with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour until 7 p.m., according to the NWS. These winds are strong enough to knock down tree limbs and blow away small objects. These winds can also make driving especially difficult.
