We’re all watching our family budgets these days and Patch wants to help you find ways to cut your monthly and weekly budgets. Check out this week’s findings.


Deal: Become a friend of Home Depot on Facebook at facebook.com/homedepot, and get exclusive emails for savings of 50 - 75 percent off regular pricing every Friday through the end of May. Specially priced items will include patio and lawn furniture, decorative items, lawn care and more. These specials will only be available to Facebook fans and will not be advertised in stores or on the Home Depot website.

Deal: Kids 12 and under eat free at IHOP from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. everyday during the month of April. With each adult entree purchased, get a kid’s meal free.
Good through: April 30, 2011.


Deal: Summer is almost here and now is the time to get that home AC unit running at peak performance. Call Great Works Heating and Air, and take advantage of their current Spring tune-up special for $69 per system or only $55 for a service call with repairs. Tell them you saw it on Patch to get current specials.

Deal: Sign up online to join the Rite Aid wellness rewards card program and earn points for every dollar you spend on non-prescription merchandise, as well as 25 points for each prescription purchased. For 125 points get a one-time use ten percent discount on your next non-prescription purchase, 500 points gives the customer ten percent off non-prescription purchases every day as well as a free health screening, 1000 points gives patrons 20 percent off all non-prescription purchases every day. Sign up is free.

Deal: For every $100 spent at Kroger, get a $.10 per gallon discount on fuel by joining the Kroger plus card program. Good at Kroger store fueling stations as well as participating Shell stations. The Kroger plus card can also be used for discounts on select in store purchases to further help you stretch those budget dollars.
