Sterling Estates to Hold Elder Abuse Seminar

The Dec. 14 event is sponsored by the Cobb Elder Abuse Task Force.

Cobb District Attorney Vic Reynolds and other law enforcement officials in Cobb will be among the featured speakers at a free seminar on Saturday, Dec. 14 and sponsored by the Cobb Elder Abuse Task Force. 

The meeting will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Sterling Estates senior community, 4220 Lower Roswell Road, in East Cobb.

Along with the rapidly growing elderly population, crimes of elder abuse have also increased. This seminar will provide information on the many types of elder abuse and how to identify, prevent and report them.

Vic Reynolds, the District Attorney for Cobb County, will speak about the issue and answer questions. Many other representatives from the county Police Department and the Sheriff’s department will also be on hand to take questions. 

The Police Chief of the city of Marietta, Dan Flynn, will discuss recent elder abuse activities in Marietta and how they were resolved. Make plans to attend this very informative, educational and worthwhile seminar. You’ll be glad you did.
