Silver Comet Trail Community Guided Walk

Join your neighbors this weekend to walk the unfinished trail.

A group of local residents are organizing a guided walk this Saturday to "Connect the Beltline to the Silver Comet Trail", and you are invited.

The Silver Comet Trail is three miles short of completion from the Mavell Road entry point to the PATH trail on the east side of the river at South Atlanta Road.

"If finished, [the trail] would connect a continuous path from the Beltline in Atlanta to Alabama," said Joe Seconder, founder of Bike Cobb.

This Saturday's guided walk of the unfinished section of the trail will start at 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Publix at Highland Station at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and the East West Connector.

The group will walk approximately three miles along the track to the intersection of South Atlanta Road and Plant Atkinson Road. There will be cars waiting to send people back to the Publix parking lot.
