Seis Events for Cinco de Mayo in South Cobb

Looking for a place to party? Maybe a place to get a little sweaty? Find it all in South Cobb on Cinco de Mayo.

Cinco de Mayo is known as a time for margaritas, music and fun! So, South Cobb Patch rounded up six events in South Cobb for this special day.

Cinco de Mayo is probably the biggest day of the year for . Close to 1,000 people will stop by the Mableton restaurant for drinks and food, dancing and music. Last year, the restaurant expanded its patio just for the Cinco de Mayo bash. The entire back parking lot of the restaurant becomes an outdoor eating area and dance floor. Inside, patrons reach out to catch flying beads and other giveaways.

"We're going to have a little bit of everything," said Mexico Lindo owner Christian Echeverry. "It's just going to be a good ol' time. Each year gets larger and larger. I don't really know what to expect this year."

The restaurant will also have an outdoor taqueria, shooter girls and specials on shots, $2 Tecate specials, along with many other drink and food specials.

However, Mexico Lindo will not be the only Cinco de Mayo party in town.

At , customers can order special $15 pitchers of margaritas, enjoy free t-shirts. They can also get down to live bands at the bar and on the patio beginning at 6:30 p.m.

One of the hottest Cinco de Mayo parties in Austell will be at , where the band will crank up at 4 p.m. and the drink specials, like $5 tequila shots, will be flowing all day. Patrons can really start to get their groove on later in the evening when a special DJ will perform.

will also have a DJ spinning the hits, beginning at 7:30 p.m., just enough time to order $15 fajitas for two and $12.99 margarita pitchers.

Want to hear some mariachi? The mariachi bands will play traditional Mexican music from 1-4 p.m. at in Mableton while everyone sips on $3 house margaritas and then kicks back to watch the boxing match on the restaurant TVs.

Want to sweat from a great dance workout instead of from the tequila surging through your veins? is offering a Cinco de Mayo Zumba party from 7-9 p.m. for $10. Get ready to sweat, laugh and dance the night away!
