A ceremony commemorating Veterans Day will be conducted on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. by American Legion Post 294 of Powder Springs at the Powder Springs Veterans Memorial.

The memorial is located in front of the Powder Springs Library at 4181 Atlanta St. In case of inclimate weather, the ceremony will be held at the Post home at 3282 Florence Road, one block north of C.H. James Parkway next to First Citizens Bank.

All veterans and the public are cordially invited. As a public service, citizens are reminded that faded and worn US flags should not be flown, and they can be dropped in the red, white and blue mail box in front of our building for proper disposal.

Contact person for this event is John Hollner III at 770-944-0801.
