What would have been a routine prostitution sting for the Smyrna Police Department resulted in the recovery of a stolen firearm and an assortment of illegal drugs at a Smyrna hotel.

According to an arrest warrant, Amanda Lee Causey, 28, of Rome was charged with theft of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and various drug charges.

Owners of Burned Home Identified

A Ball Ground couple and their teenage daughter are feared dead in a house fire early Wednesday morning. 

But the Cherokee Sheriff's Office is "unable to definitively conclude that the bodies" pulled from the rubble belonged to the residents, who have not been seen since the blaze burned the home to the ground.

West Cobb Girl Sings For Her Sister

When 10-year-old Jenna Rohrbach took the field Wednesday night to sing the National Anthem at the Atlanta Braves' game against the San Francisco Giants, she was singing for her sister.

That's because her sister, Alexa, died from cancer three years ago at the age of 11. Tonight is Rally Night at Turner Field in honor of the Atlanta-based Rally Foundation, which raises money to research cures for childhood cancer. Six Rally Kids, who either have fought or are currently fighting cancer, were invited to the pre-game batting practice and the game as guests of the team.
