New Cobb Senior Center Seeking Instructors

The instructors will teach yoga, Pilates, Zumba, crafts and will be paid up to $21 per hour.

Cobb Senior Services staff will officially open its new Senior Wellness Center, located at 1150 Powder Springs St., Marietta, during a ribbon cutting ceremony 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29. A tour of the facility will follow. Quarterly classes will begin this fall at the Wellness Center and staff is looking for qualified instructors.

  • Students will be ages 55 and older with all levels of ability
  • Classes will be offered between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
  • Instructors will be paid in approximately six-week increments
  • Wage is up to $21 per hour, based on experience and class demand

Contractual instructors are needed to teach: yoga, Pilates, Zumba, exercising with stability balls, qigong, chair exercise, stretching, Tai Chi, self defense, strength training, aerobics, ballroom dance, Latin dance, line dance, square dance, ballet, tap, folk dance, belly dancing, jazz, sculpting with clay, watercolors, oils acrylics, jewelry, pastels and flower arranging.
