UPDATE: MIC Ready to Kick Off Fitness Initiative

At the organization's community meeting, MIC kicked off its new fitness initiative and informs residents of other ways to get out and get to know their neighbors.

Update at 2:04 p.m. on July 28, 2011: Miller of MIC's CFI said the time for the weekly group walk/run activities has just been changed to 6:30 p.m.

The Mableton Improvement Coalition held its community meeting on Tuesday to inform residents about ways they can become involved with the organization and with their community as well.

The organization will kick off its fitness initiative on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Mable House Complex with weekly group walk/run activities.

They have mapped out a 1.5-mile loop to and from the Mable House Complex for the weekly activities.

People of all fitness levels are welcome to participate.

The CFI branch of MIC is also considering expansion by group participation in local races, such as Atlanta Track Club races and a possible free "Resolution Run" on New Year's Day to help members focus on fitness objectives for the new year.
