Mableton's Riverview Landing Fall Festival to Draw People from All Over Metro Atlanta

The fall festival will be one-of-a-kind for Mableton residents and will likely bring in others from around the Atlanta area.

It may seem that South Cobb is overwhelmed with fall festivals, but the Riverview Landing first annual Fall Festival on Saturday is bound to be one-of-a-kind for the area.

The festival will be kicked off with a Gran Fondo cycling event sponsored by Georgia Cup Health and Wellness.  The cycling event begins at 7 a.m. with several heat lengths, up to a 100-mile journey, as well as a 5K- and 10K-foot race and a fun run for young runners, starting at 8 a.m.

This festival will be a celebration to kickstart the future 82-acre mixed-use development and offer a glimpse of the activities that will be held in the new neighborhood along the Chattahoochee River.

Just 6.5 miles from Midtown, it features the closest corn maze in the metro area, as well as other activities:

“Our goal for the event is to create community awareness of the Chattahoochee River as a significant natural and recreational resource that is easily accessible to all Atlantans, which is in close proximity to another green space, Piedmont Park,” stated Matt Bronfman, managing director of Jamestown, the real estate investment firm responsible for developing Riverview Landing.

“It is essential for future generations that we embrace and preserve our natural resources, and develop new communities that are sustainable and responsibly designed,” Bronfman continued in a news release.

There is no entry fee for the festival, though guests are encouraged to donate $5 to benefit the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.

“As the only organization with the sole mission of protecting and preserving the quality of the Chattahoochee River, we’re excited to work with community partners such as Green Street Properties and Jamestown,” Sally Bethea, UCR’s Executive Director and Riverkeeper, stated in a release. “We believe sustainable communities are critical to ensuring our river is clean and accessible.”
