Mableton Resident to Lead Immigrant Rights Demonstration Wednesday

Mableton resident and Cobb Immigrant Alliance director, Rich Pellegrino, will help lead a press conference at Marietta Square about the harmful consequences of the recently signed Georgia immigration bill.

The Cobb Immigrant Alliance, led by Mableton resident Rich Pellegrino, will hold a press conference on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Glover Park in Marietta Square.

The purpose of the event is to encourage Gov. Nathan Deal to repeal the recent  immigration bill allowing police to stop people at any time to check their citizenship status “in light of information shared regarding its racially based motives,” stated Pellegrino in a release sent on Tuesday morning.

The theme of the event is “The ONENESS Campaign,” which the CIA states as “We are one people and together we can survive and advance in spite of the vested interests attempting to divide us.”
