Mableton Ready to Rock at 2 Festivals Next Week

Mableton will be the location of two major festivals next weekend.

Mableton will be rocking and twanging next week with Mableton Rocks and Riverview Landing's Urban Hoedown taking place.

The 2nd Annual Mableton Rocks kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m.

The event features eight local bands, including crowd please JB Walker and the Cheap Wiskey Band. Some of the bands who will pay tribute to Stevie Nicks, the Beach Boys and the Beatles.

Riverview Landing, the $300 billion multi-use property development, has transformed what was its fall festival into a two-day Urban Hoedown and Day Festival.

Get ready for fun on Friday, Sept. 28 with:

  • Bonfire
  • Hot Air Balloon Rides
  • Hairy Man Contest 
  • Local Brews
  • Food Trucks
  • Corn Maze
  • Live, local bands

Doors open on Friday at 6 p.m. Tickets for this event are $10 and can be purchased at Ticket Alternative.

Saturday's festivities have something for everyone including the corn maze, food trucks, local brews from Friday, but with an additional vendor market featuring more than 40 local artisans, a barbecue cook-off, hay rides and football tailgating.

The event will help benefit the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. There is no admission price, but a $5 donation is suggested.
