Six Flags Over Georgia is gearing up for its 45th anniversary in 2012, by offering substantial savings on season pass purchases. Buy three season passes and have them processed at the park by Nov. 5, and get one free season pass and one free parking pass. Plus, if you process your 2012 passes now, you will receive one free admission to the park for the rest of 2011 and one free Fright Fest night admission for October 2011. In honor of our military personnel serving in the U.S. and abroad, Six Flags Over Georgia will be holding Military Appreciation Days on Sept. 17 - 18, and Sept. 24 - 25, with free admission to the park for military personnel and up to three dependents. Simply present your current military ID card at the park’s ticket window. If any additional tickets are required, they may be purchased at 50 percent less than the main gate ticket price. stores and the Woodruff Arts Center, are teaming up to present Target Family Thursdays throughout the month of September. Each Thursday, the Woodruff Arts Center, will host a full day of free educational art activities designed to be enjoyed by the entire family. Acting workshops, live performances and a viewing of the art gallery, are just a few of the happenings that will be taking place at the center. Consignment sales are a great way to save money on name brand goods and clothing, some which can be brand new. This weekend, in Austell, is holding their semi-annual Kids Kingdom consignment sale, with approximately 150 sellers in attendance. You’ll find items such as children’s and teen clothing, books, DVDs, baby furniture and a host of name brand goods at a fraction of the cost of retail pricing. Proceeds from the sale will go to benefit church ministries as well as missions worldwide. Days and hours of operation are Thursday, 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Admittance is free.
