Get down with Christian Rock or bust a move at a Salsa dance party this weekend

Visit Six Flags for the two day Christian music weekend or stop in at some local hot spots and listen to some home grown musical groups.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

CHRISTIAN MUSIC WEEKEND
Where/When: Six Flags Over Georgia, April 22, 3:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.; April 23, 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Why Go: Along with fun activities in the park, visitors can attend a weekend of music from award winning Christian rock bands and musicians in the Southern Star Amphitheater for free with park admission. Great way to spend a lovely Easter weekend.
Pricing: Free with park admission, season passese $49.95, daily individual passes $59.95, parking ranges from $15 to $20. Special pricing on season passes is still available, check the Six Flags website for more ticket information.

SPRING/SUMMER SALSA FUN RAISER
Where/When: April 23, 8:30 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Why Go: Come and dance the night away at this fun local restaurant to the DJ music from La Noche Baila.. Drink specials include $3 and $5 margaritas and free CDs for the first ten attendees. Beginners Salsa class starts at 8:30 p.m. with dancing for all starting at 9 p.m.
Pricing: $5 cover charge donation requested.

ORIGINAL MUSIC WITH LADY TONI
Where/When: April 21, beginning at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy the dulcet sounds of singer/songwriter Lady Toni. This local musician entertains listeners with Christian/Gospel and Contemporary Christian original song stylings.
Pricing: Free.

KIDS BUILDING WORKSHOP
Where/When: , April 23, beginning at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Why Go: Free kid’s build and grow workshops that include a certificate of merit, goggles and work apron. This week’s project is a window birdhouse. The birdhouse actually sticks to the outside window and allows kid’s to watch birds build their nests.
Pricing: Free

THE DANIELS BROTHERS BAND
Where/When: Stella’s Neighborhood Grill, April 23, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Have a great meal and listen to the acoustical sounds of this progressive rock duo. The band plays original music as well as cover songs.
Pricing: Music is free, drink and food prices vary.

YAAROB SHRINE CIRCUS
Where/When: , opening April 22 at 7:30 p.m., running through May 1.
Why Go: There will be plenty of fun activities, rides, games, live animals and more at this annual Shrine circus and carnival. Come out on April 21 for the sneek-a-peek-ride-a-thon event beginning at 5 p.m. for unlimited rides. Only the carnival, food stands and flea market will be open on April 21. The flea market grand opening will be at 10 a.m.
Pricing: Adult admission is $10, children 5 years and under are free. Parking is $5. Check the circus website for money saving options.

SPRING BREAKDOWN FEST
Where/When: , April 23, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Why Go: Celebrate the beginning of Spring and rock out to a multitude of family friendly bands and dance performances. Great for all ages.
Pricing: $20 per person.
