Featured Events: Morgan's Town Hall on Redistricting and Jonquil Festival

Two of today's top events, get out and get educated or enjoy.

Today, Cobb County Board of Education Member David Morgan, who serves South Cobb, is holding a town hall meeting at Cooper Middle School to discuss redistricting. As construction begins on two replacement South Cobb elementary schools –Mableton Elementary and Clarkdale Elementary– and a new school is built in Smyrna, the district is facing the huge and sometimes confusing issue of redistricting. Get your questions answered today at this meeting. The district's SPLOST Chief Administration Officer Doug Shepard will be on hand to offer explanation and information.

Also, our neighbors in Smyrna are having their annual Spring Jonquil Festival at their Village Green at 200 Village Green Circle. The event will feature 175  handmade arts and crafts booths, live music and lots of food. It begins this morning at 10 and ends at 6 p.m. On Sunday, it begins at noon and ends at 5 p.m. This is a free event with something for everyone. Stop by the Patch tent and say hello!
