'America Recycles Day' Comes to the Mable House

Saturday's Keep Cobb Beautiful event also includes document shredding.

If you've got household items to be recycled and documents to be shredded, get them ready for dropping off on Saturday.

That's when Keep Cobb Beautiful is taking part in America Recycles Day, and The Mable House is a drop-off point. It's located at 5239 Floyd Road in Mableton.

It's a comprehensive recycling event, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can dispose of the following items:

  • Electronics (computers, printers and copiers, kitchen appliances, cameras, telephones, etc.);
  • Textiles (shoes, clothing, etc.);
  • Document shredding (paper products only);
  • Latex paint (no oil or alllkyd paints);
  • Batteries (a $10 fee for televisions).

See the attached flyer for more details about what can and cannot be accepted, and for any other fees that may apply.

Keep Cobb Beautiful also has more updates on its Facebook page.
