South Cobb High’s Jiby Yohannan and Pebblebrook High’s Megan Zhang are each ranked in the top five of their respective senior classes. Their academic efforts, along withother merits, helped them, as well as McEachern’s Justine McLeoud, to win $1,500 scholarships in the eighth annual Betty Gray Teacher Education Scholarships at a recent luncheon held at Roswell Street Baptist Church. Within a two-week period, both Erichea “Shay” Barnes and Briana Jones surpassed a major individual basketball career milestone – scoring 1,000 points. First Shay, then Bri. They have been the dynamic duo of Lady Wolfpack basketball for the last four years. Shay is the authoritative point guard in charge of running a relatively young team and controlling the perimeter.
