The Six Flags Drive Community have been extremely busy this past month. On Octiber 27, 2012 Kingsley Village and Parkview Apartments had a Fall Fest on Six Flags Drive. Over 200 residents attended the event held at Parkview Atlanta Apartments. The residents played games, and also talked with State Farm representative Mr. Wilder Saint Velus, about the importance of maintaining auto insurance and rental insurance. Annette Hughes, Licensed Social Worker, Also discussed alout her workshops that will be offered at the South Cobb Recreation center.
On November 3, 2012, Cobb County Department of Transportation partnered with We Thrive on The Drive to promote community Safety and the newly installed HAWK signal. The event was held in the Marathon plaza and the Family Dolllar plaza on Six Flags Drive. Business Owners Sonia White, The Colsons and Tommy Lovlace represented the business community at the event. The day was filled with food, fun and entertainment. Info tables were set by CobbWorks, HOPE outreach Center, Cbb Sheriff Department, Cobb Police Department, Cobb Department of Transportation, Austell Opportunity Zone, Premier Learning Academy and STING INC. Walgreens Store , Austell Location, provided free flu shots and blood pressure checks at the event. Special Thank you to Captain Adcock and Sgt. Danny Parrot with the Cobb County Police Department, Chris Pruit, Cobb Department of Transportation, State Reprentative Alisha T. Morgan and School Board Rep. David Morgan, Cobb county Commissioner Woody Thomson, Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren, Kathleen Harrison and Austell Community Taskforce for their suppport and donations to the event.
On Sunday November 11, 2012, Mr. Leslie Walker, South Cobb Recreation Center and Polly Coleman, Pure Faith Outreach Center organized a wonderful early Thanksgiving dinnner. The event attracted well over 200 residents form the Six Flags Drive, Austell and Mableton Area. State Representative Alisha T. Morgan, gave an awesome blessing before the dinner. Special Thank You to Austell Community Taskforce, Ella Bakery, Count Me In, School Board Representative David Morgan and State Representative Alisha T. Morgan, Rehoboth Center, Cobb Coalition,Feed The Kids, and We Thrive on The Drive for their support and donations to the event.

Good job Monica. I hope the community understands the safety value represented in the Hawk system and puts it to use. It would be sad indeed if an accident occurs after the outreach program for the Six Flags community.
