It’s back to work this morning for everyone. It’s not going to be all that pretty, either. There’s a 50 percent chance of rain, and The Weather Channel is predicting thunderstorms throughout the day, night and into Wednesday for South Cobb.

Trash pickup in Austell resumes this morning. However, the Austell City Council meeting usually held on the first Monday of every month has been rescheduled for July 11. So has the regular meeting of the Austell Community Taskforce. ACT will also hold a meeting for anyone interested in helping with their annual Back to School Bash at 7 p.m. at the South Cobb Recreation Center on Thursday.

The Mableton Improvement Coalition’s Economic Development Committee meets on Wednesday at Atlanta Bread Company in Smyrna at 6 p.m.

The Cobb Democrats will hold their meeting on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Piccadilly Cafeteria on Austell Road.
