Operation Bring Bandit Home

A young couple came back from an island vacation engaged and happy only to find their beloved dog missing.

A young couple, Sheila Parast and Daniel Gross, came home recently from the Cayman Islands and were informed by their dogsitter that their baby, a 90-pound Great Dane/Pit Bull-mixed dog named Bandit, was missing.

The dog, which is black with white chest markings, dug a hole under the fence and escaped.

He was last seen Friday on Anderson Mill Road in Austell.

The couple says he is friendly. He isn't wearing any identifying tags except for a brown leather collar that reads "Bandit."

"It's just horrible. Any help is appreciated," said Parast.

He also needs medication, and they are offering a reward, no questions asked, for anyone who can return him.

The couple is calling local veterinarians' offices and local animal shelters, as well as posting announcements and reaching out on social media.
