Can you think of a good name for an elementary school in Cobb?

Starting next school year, Austell Primary and Austell Intermediate will both become K-5 schools; they’re currently K-1 and 2-5, respectively. Since Austell Primary is on the site of the original Austell Elementary, it will revert back to the original name.

That leaves Austell Intermediate without a name—and that’s where you come in.

The school’s naming committee is accepting submissions through Tuesday, April 24. School district policy says a new school name can honor individuals, families, communities or geographic areas of Cobb County.

Possible names must conform to the guidelines in Administrative Rule FF.
