Mableton Bank Robbed

The Cobb County Police Department seeks the public's assistance.

An armed robber today hit a Mableton bank, and the Cobb County Police Department needs help locating her.

Just before 12:15 p.m., a black woman wearing a green pullover hooded jacket and a dark coat approached tellers at the Best Bank inside the Kroger at 4875 Floyd Rd., said Officer Mike Bowman, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department.

"She then produced a demand note and made verbal demands for the money as she indicated that she was armed with a handgun," he said. "The employees complied with the demands of the perpetrator and after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, she fled in an unknown direction."

Bowman said the suspect had shoulder length hair, and appeared to be 25 or 26 years old, 5-foot-6 and approximately 165 to 200 pounds.

This is rob job #2. This is my bank with a super teller team and manager. It's a shame Kroger will not provide security as it would be a plus for them as well. After all, they handle a few Benjamins themselves, I'd say.
These are desperate times for folk, young and old. These retailers had better take heed.
