Dog Days at Market & Campaign Fundraisers This Weekend in South Cobb

Check out all the events happening this weekend in South Cobb.

 

One of the biggest festivals to hit South Cobb will take place on Saturday fr at Riverview Landing, the new development being built on Riverview Road in Mableton. Dog Days at The Market kicks off the grand opening of “The Market” at Georgia’s largest off-leash dog pasture on Saturday. The day’s proceeds will benefit Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption.  

 Dogs are welcome to roam in Georgia’s largest dog pasture, a five-acre, fenced-in area which runs along the Chattahoochee River. Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption will have dogs on-site and adoptions can be made at APRA’s new facility in Smyrna.

The event is free, but a donation to Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption is appreciated.

The day’s festivities include music, food, demonstrations and revelry at the River for families and pets:

It's the last day to train for the Mableton 5K Race, which takes place on May 19 at 8 a.m. Fit in one last group run with the Mableton Improvement Coalition on Saturday at the Barnes Amphitheatre at 9 a.m.

 

Monica DeLancey, who has announced her intention to run for District 4 County Commissioner, will be holding a campaign fundraiser at the Shell gas station at 690 South Gordon Road. Fish dinners will be $5 and hot dogs are free for children.
